Bulk Billing Announcement

At Branxton Healthcare, we are pleased to bulk bill standard and long consultations for eligible patients. This helps make quality general practice care more accessible to the Branxton community and surrounding areas. Bulk billing means that for these consultation types, Medicare covers the full cost of your visit, and there is no out-of-pocket expense for you at the time of your appointment.

Please note that bulk billing applies to standard and long consultations only. Certain services will attract a gap fee or be billed at a private rate. These include (but are not limited to) in-clinic procedures and workers compensation (WorkCover) consultations. Fees for these services are payable at the time of your appointment. Where applicable, Medicare rebates can be processed electronically and paid directly into your nominated bank account.

Consult fees apply to NON-Medicare card holders with no rebate.

  • To claim a Medicare rebate, patients are required to present a valid Medicare card at the time of consultation.
  • After-hours rates apply before 8 am on weekdays.
  • There is no medicare rebate for pre-employment or Insurance medicals.
  • Workers' compensation consultations are billed at WorkCover-approved rates. Payment may be required at the time of consultation, with reimbursement subject to WorkCover approval and claim status.
  • Department of veterans affairs (DVA) patients are billed directly to DVA. Patients are asked to present their cards at each visit.
  • Concession card holders (aged pensioners, Health Care Card holders) may have different billing arrangements. Patients are asked to present their cards at each visit. Please speak with the practice manager for further information.
  • (Note: DVA billing, after-hours rates note, and acupuncture billing note are not included in updated version as separate bullet points; replaced with cleaner language above.)
